The Brotherhood

The Brotherhood at Temple Shaare Tefilah is open to all Jewish men in the community. Membership in the congregation is not a requirement. The Brotherhood is a service and social organization whose goal is to strengthen the synagogue community and provide a venue for the Men of the community to interact with other Jewish men. We are affiliated with the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs, an international organization of Men's Clubs and Brotherhoods affiliated with conservative synagogues in the US and Canada.

Some of the regular projects and activities of the Brotherhood are:

Brotherhood Shabbat. Each year a special Shabbat service is led by members of the Men's Club.
Yom HaShoah Candle Program. Each year the Men's Club distributes a special yellow yahrzeit candle to remember those who perished in the Holocaust. This is a project of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs.
Youth Programs. The Men's Club has been supporting Camp Ramah.
Hearing Men’s Voices. An award winning program of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs was created by Temple Shaare Tefilah member (and past International President) Dr. Robert Braitman.
